PTK’s Scholarship Application is open year-round with two deadlines.

 

Spring Programs: Leaders of Promise, Oberndorf, IPSLEI, & Workforce Development Scholarships
Deadline has passed.

 

Fall Programs: All-USA, New Century, Coca-Cola Academic Team, Guistwhite, Hites, Oberndorf, TEK,  Workforce Development, & GEICO Scholarships
Scholarship Deadline: December 1, 2021, at 5pm CT
Nominator Deadline: December 3, 2021, at 5pm CT

  • Must be a Phi Theta Kappa member or alumnus
  • Must be enrolled in a pre-nursing, nursing, or allied health program — including medical assistant and certified nursing assistant programs — and intend to take the TEAS exam in the future
  • Up to 35 students awarded a 100% discount to enroll in the TEAS & HESI prep courses at StudyBuddy.live
  • 20 additional students will receive a 100% discount to enroll in ALL courses in addition to the TEAS & HESI prep courses
  • Total awards of $16,500

  • Awarded to the author of the manuscript judged to be the most outstanding of those submitted to the Nota Bene literary anthology

  • Offers U.S. citizens research, study and teaching opportunities for graduating college seniors, graduate students, young professionals, scientists and artists for one academic year.

  • Must enroll full-time at an accredited four-year college during the fall following scholarship application
  • Award amounts vary from $500 to $5,000

  • Offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students to pursue study or internship programs abroad.

  • 2,500+ awards given annually

Regional Scholarships

  • Must be a PTK member (minimum age 18)
  • Must be currently enrolled in any Mississippi community college
  • Must be able to work at least 10 hours a week throughout a 10-week term.
  • Must commit to the program in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 while enrolled at the community college.
  • Up to twenty-one (21) awards of $5,000
  • Recognition as a Get2College Corps Member
Closed AL, FL, MS, TN, & TX
Trustmark Workforce Development Scholarship
  • Must be a Phi Theta Kappa member
  • Must be pursuing a workforce-related major
  • Must enter the workforce after graduating with an associate degree or certificate
  • Ten $200 scholarships
  • Recognition as a Trustmark Workforce Development Scholar

Pacific Region Transfer Scholarship
  • Must be a Phi Theta Kappa member
  • Must be currently enrolled at a two-year college in the Pacific Region
  • Transfer to a senior institution in the Pacific Region in the next fall semester
  • Must be eligible for the Guistwhite or Hites Scholarships
  • Up to two $1,000 scholarships awarded annually
  • Recognition at the Pacific Regional Convention

Tennessee Valley Authority Scholarship
  • Must be eligible & nominated for the All-USA Academic Team Program
  • Must be enrolled in an associate degree program in Mississippi
  • Must be pursuing a major in the STEM field
  • Two $2,250 scholarships awarded annually
  • Recognition at the All-Mississippi Academic Team event

Christopher A. Calhoun Transfer Scholarship
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and Phi Theta Kappa member
  • Must be enrolled in an associate degree program in South Carolina
  • Must enroll in a four-year college baccalaureate degree program in South Carolina for the next fall semester
  • Must be eligible and apply for the All-USA Academic Team
  • Must be nominated by the student's college
  • One $1,000 scholarship awarded annually
  • Recognition at the All-South Carolina Academic Team event

Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholarship
  • Must be eligible and apply for the Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship
  • Must be enrolled in an associate degree program in Texas
  • One $1,500 scholarship awarded annually
  • Recognition as a Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholar
